Taylor Swift, Usher, Rihanna Set For iHeartRadio Music Festival

The two-day show, also featuring Lil Wayne, Aerosmith and many more, will take place in September in Las Vegas.

Wondering who will take the stage at the second annual iHeartRadio Music Festival this year? Well, on Monday (July 9), the A-list-filled roster was announced.In a press release, Clear Channel confirmed that <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/swift__taylor/artist.jhtml">Taylor Swift</a>, Aerosmith, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/rihanna/artist.jhtml">Rihanna</a>, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/Usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a>, Bon Jovi, Lil Wayne, Green Day, Swedish House Mafia, No Doubt, Brad Paisley, Pitbull, deadmau5, Miranda Lambert, Enrique Iglesias, Linkin Park, Jason Aldean, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/pink/artist.jhtml">Pink</a>, Mary J. Blige, Calvin Harris and Shakira will all take the stage during the two-day festival. UNIVERSAL CITY, California — Hard rock, heavy metal, hardcore and punk have long gone hand-in-hand with evil wizards, magic, vampires and werewolves. And with a collective sub-cultural pedigree that includes stints in the Germs, No Use for a Name, Sunny Day Real Estate, Scream and some band called Nirvana, you'd think the <a href="/music/artist/foo_fighters/artist.jhtml">Foo Fighters</a> — set to perform at Sunday's <a href="http://www.mtv.com/ontv/movieawards/2011/">Movie Awards</a> — would know their "Potter" from their Zeppelin. Certainly they can recognize a "wand" reference and pinpoint its origin?<div class="player-placeholder right" title="The Foo Fighters Take The Movie Awards Quiz" id="vid:660301.id:1664959" width="240" height="211"></div>Right? Before we put MTV News' magically crafted trivia to the band, it seemed safe to assume the Foos would accurately distinguish between the words of Harry Potter, a "Twilight" character and Led Zeppelin. Standing tall after her highly publicized divorce with Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes went about her business today (July 31) in New York City.

The "Dawson's Creek" star wore a casual yellow long-sleeved top and blue jeans with a black bag swung over her shoulder and a coffee cup in her hand as she stopped at Benjamin Moore and the Chelsea Market.

Sources say the 33-year-old is well-off nowadays and she's been spotted out and about all over New York since the split.

An insider tells Us Weekly, "She's doing really great. She's so strong, she's an independent girl with her own ideas. She is fine."

An ongoing project for the mother of little Suri Cruise, however, is disciplining the 6-year-old. "There has been some resistance. But Suri adores her mum. So, little by little, she's starting to listen. Katie is taking everything very slowly,? the source explained.

Don recently explained on "Chelsea Lately" why the twosome have chosen not to take the plunge and get married...after 20 years and 2 kids. He also explained why he tends to call her his wife anyway:

"I say 'wife' because it's just easier. We have 2 daughters --17 and 15--and my daughter just went on a college tour. I fee like if we've done this for 20 years and it aint broke, we're not going to change anything."

He says Brigid is an actress and also designs homes. As for how they managed to stay together so long, he said they've "been through some pretty major stuff."

A loyal supporter of Team GB, Kate Middleton made her way to the Show Jumping Equestrian Event at Greenwich Park as part of Day 4 of the London 2012 Olympic Games today (July 31).

Ms. Middleton looked bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as she watched the competition along with her husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry from their Royal seats.

"I'm bewildered," <a href="/music/artist/plant_robert/artist.jhtml">Robert Plant</a> said onstage as he accepted the <MTVNLINK type="news" id="1604580">Grammy Album of the Year award</MTVNLINK> with <a href="/music/artist/krauss_alison/artist.jhtml">Alison Krauss</a> on Sunday night. "In the old days we would have called this selling out, but it's a good way to spend a Sunday."He was probably one of the few who were surprised, because Raising Sand, which won five trophies at Sunday night's show, is in many ways the perfect <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/grammys/">Grammy</a> album. It features two respected veterans, a critically lauded producer, some sandpaper-and-velvet vocals and a baker's dozen of time-tested standards.<div style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; float: left;"><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:338316" width="256" height="223" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashVars="configParams=instance%3Dnews%26vid%3D338316" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></div>You're probably familiar with Robert Plant from his <a href="/music/artist/led_zeppelin/artist.jhtml">Led Zeppelin</a> days, and you might be aware of producer T-Bone Burnett's work on the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack (it won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2002). And if you don't know who Alison Krauss is, she possesses a haunting set of pipes and is one of the meanest fiddle players in the world. Oh, and she's won 21 Grammys, more than any other female artist and the seventh-most in history.Really, she's the key to Sand's success, and not just because of her voice (or her fiddle playing). She and Plant first met in 2004, at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute to legendary bluesman Leadbelly, and the former Zeppelin man was amazed by her knowledge of American Roots music — so much so that they began kicking around the idea of recording an album together. Three years later, Sand was released.And while Plant possesses the more famous voice, the album's finest moments radiate from Krauss. Whether she's getting bluesy on Little Milton's "Let Your Loss Be Your Lesson" or entwining with Plant's husky voice on songs like "Please Read the Letter" and Roly Salley's winsome "Killing the Blues," she more than carries her end of the bargain.And perhaps that's also due to producer Burnett, who handpicked the 13 songs the duo cover on Sand. His arrangements are sparse — giving the two voices ample room to breathe — yet dense, warm and crackling at the same time. It's a testament to his work that he's often given just as much billing as Plant and Krauss on the project ... and it's certainly justified.To date, Sand has sold more than 1 million copies, heaped tons of acclaim and actually earned a Grammy last year — "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)" took home the award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.One expert was surprised not by the album's success, but by the fact that it's actually quite a good album."At first, the album seemed like a vanity project. ... Two names, clearly a one-off record, didn't have to be any good, you know?" New York Times music critic Jon Caramanica said. "Led Zeppelin fans would buy it because of Robert Plant, Alison Krauss would get a check. But it actually turned out to be a really thoughtful, really good record. So when you combine all that with the fact that the Grammys love to lionize one of their own, I could really see it taking home some awards."

But, the scope of these shows is miniscule compared to playing to an arena filled with Beliebers."I don't know what to expect," she told MTV News earlier this month before she took the stage in Chicago for the <a href="/news/articles/1690083/carly-rae-jepsen-windy-chicago.jhtml">Pop-Tarts Crazy Good Summer Concert</a>. Justin Bieber has upset passengers on a flight when the ‘Believe’ singer was said to be swearing. Typically viewed as wholesome, Justin Bieber has found himself among negative headlines once again in the last couple of weeks.� First there was news of the singer taking part in a high speed chase to avoid the paparazzi before being called a noisy neighbor by Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard who shared that they had to deal with an array of disruptions that comes from the pop singer’s Los Angeles home. ”The music and the parties and the paparazzi, I mean, it’s like living in Lebanon now,” Dax was quoted as saying when he hit the premiere of his movie ‘Hit & Run’. And the shot leaves very, very little to the imagination.The black-and-white photo features a fully nude Mother Monster wearing a black mask, with tiny men climbing up her body, strategically placed to cover her more scandalous parts. Shot by famed fashion photographer Steven Klein, the ad's tagline reads, "The First Ever Black Eau de Parfum."<blockquote class="twitter-tweet">i won't lie I'm a bit nervous. its been a while since i've shared some work with you. The deep purple and black packaging for the perfume even included a very Gaga-esque description of what it will smell like when it hits stores. You just get sort of the after feeling of sex from the semen and the blood is sort of primal. And the blood was taken from my own blood sample so it's like a sense of having me on your skin."September is set to be a big month for Gaga. The 15-year-old actress plays the title character in the 2013 reboot of the 1976 horror classic about a social outcast who discovers she has psionic power that flares up when she becomes angry or distressed.

"Californication" actress Judy Greer, who plays Mrs. Desjardin in the film, had these words to say to E! about her young co-star. "Chloe's performance - and this is literal - has brought me to tears on set. She's made me cry because I find her performance to be incredibly moving. I'm feeling a lot of compassion for her."

Still awaiting the filming of the most famous scene, a pig-blood filled prom sequence, Greer described director Kimberly Peirce's take on the scene as "kind of beautiful. It's really totally jarring and creepy, but also in a strange way gorgeous."

The movie will be released sometime early next year.

Just over a month removed from the release of his third studio album, Believe, Justin Bieber continued his promotional efforts by covering the Summer 2012 issue of Rollacoaster magazine.

Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban Hit Up Omega's Olympic Opening Party

Keeping things low key ever since the onset of TomKat's divorce drama - as she, too, went through a split with the "Top Gun" star - Nicole Kidman has once again immersed herself back into the public realm while attending the festivities surrounding the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Joined by her country star hubby, Keith Urban, the famous couple brought their good looks to a private party celebrating the opening of OMEGA House in London on Saturday (July 28).

Once inside the ritzy House of St. Barnabas held ado, Kidman joined alongside OMEGA President Stephen Urquhart for a round of photos while Urban took a solo trip through the flashes emerging amidst the arrivals area.

The previous night, Nicole was among the fortunate 80,000 spectators on-hand to witness the Danny Boyle choreographed Opening Ceremony at London's Olympic Stadium.

Clearly thrilled over the experience, the 45-year-old big screen star posted a picture of herself at the event with a caption reading, "At the Olympics with omega! Amazing!... Wow!"

With two spotlights shining down on him, a sleeveless <a href="/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> belted out the first notes of his summer hit, "Climax," at Sunday's <a href="http://www.bet.com/shows/bet-awards/2012.html" target="_blank">2012 BET Awards</a>.The R&B crooner stood center stage, wearing all black, save for a pair of hot-colored shoes, and sang the ballad with the electro-beat from his seventh studio album, Looking 4 Myself, in front of a live band. Some wicked, black-and-white animation danced behind him on a large screen that backlit the auditorium.This was the first time Usher has performed at the awards show since 2010, where he also sang another ballad, "There Goes My Baby," from his Raymond v.
